Within cutscenes where he is supposed to be in the scene, there will just be empty space without any character model. Despite the game not forcing the player, however, he actually needs to be in party, and the game doesn’t react well to him not being there. Either way, the glitch is usually solved by either restarting the game or changing the graphics settings.ĭuring Fenris’ Act 2 companion quest « A Bitter Pill, » the player can choose not to put Fenris in the party. Sometimes this bug only occurs when certain armors are used while other times it happens because the game is just not loading any of the textures correctly. This glitch can happen to Hawke, the companions, or any of the random NPCs in the game, and the character will simply move around as a floating head. One of the most common glitches in Dragon Age II is the « invisible body » glitch, which causes a character’s body to completely disappear except for the head, the neck, and whatever weapons they have equipped. Although this is incredibly frustrating for the player, it’s funny to watch Hawke just spinning in circles in the corner as the Arishok keeps fighting and both characters clip through each other. Because the Arishok constantly charges at the player, Hawke can be knocked into the map’s walls in such a way that they get trapped. The one thing everyone can agree on, however, is that the game needed some more development time before it was released, and some of the hilarious bugs really demonstrate that.Įven though he is not the final boss, the Arishok is the most difficult boss in the entire game, especially for mage Hawkes. Out of all the Dragon Age games, Dragon Age II is possibly the most controversial installment with some fans considering it the best game in the series and other fans saying it’s the worst. Many players have seen the characters clipping through each other, twisting into weird positions, and disappearing from the scene entirely. Since these scenes use in-game models and are already a bit awkward, it’s no surprise that any glitches that happen during these segments are extremely funny and memorable.
